How To Promote Any Business Using Video Marketing
Are you already the proud owner of a business that obtains repeat orders through reputation and word of mouth?
If the answer is a resounding YES then congratulations!
Stop watching and find something else to do 🙂 If the answer is a definite NO! then you probably spend quite a bit of money and/or effort on marketing.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could spend less of both and get more of a return on your investment?
Of course it would. So stick with me while I explain the options. Leave the video running where you can hear it even if you don’t watch all the slides.
If you’re a sole trader, a small business, or a larger company what’s the most important thing you can do to not only survive but thrive?
The answer of course is to make sure you’ve got plenty of customers buying what you’re selling, whether it’s products or services.
What are you doing to achieve that objective? Perhaps you’ve tried some or all of the available marketing methods. Perhaps you’ve wondered where all the money went.
Consider print advertising for a moment.
You could spend a few hundred quid on an advert in a business or consumer magazine. It still works and should never be fully ruled out but it’s not easy to measure the impact. And let’s be honest, it can be very expensive.
Then there’s PPC or Pay Per Click advertising.
There are many advantages to it and it does give you a measure of control. However, it requires skills to set up a campaign correctly and to measure the results. You then have to adjust the settings based on those results.
If you don’t learn how to do this yourself you have to pay someone to do it for you. So as well as the cost of the clicks themselves you need to spend more money on campaign management.
How about organic traffic?
You’ve spent a considerable sum on a website. It looks great but of course people have to find it. So you’ve embarked on a routine of adding fresh content in an effort to boost rankings. This is good work but it’s a drain on your resources. You either write the content in house or outsource it at cost.
Then there’s social media.
The big advantage of social media is that it’s free. Anyone can set up a Twitter or Instagram account, or a Facebook page. However, it takes time to nurture it and to create relationships with those who may one day become customers.
The many dormant accounts are evidence of people starting with social media but unable to follow through.
So what’s so good about video marketing?
Statistics prove that more and more of us are choosing to use smartphones instead of PCs, laptops, and even tablets. Furthermore, videos are fast becoming the preferred choice for those searching for information.
Google owns YouTube so a good video on YouTube can appear in search results of both. Some even appear in the Google search results above websites with comparable content.
A YouTube video is a resource that you can use over and over again. You pay one single fee for it but unlike print advertising or even PPC, it’s not something that’s used once and then abandoned.
Like a website it’s there to be found over and over again. Embedded in a website it adds sound and vision to an otherwise silent set of pages.
It can be shared repeatedly in social media. Sharing at different times of the day, experimenting with hashtags, and varying the text of the accompanying message allow you to make repeated use of it.
You can add a copy to your Facebook page and use clips of it in Instagram and Twitter.
A video is a versatile tool with lots of potential.
And I’m here to create that video for you. Whatever your business the process is easy and affordable.
