Here are a few minutes of the Ffestiniog Railway’s steam engines Palmerston, Linda, and Taliesin at full steam along this narrow gauge railway in north Wales.
If you’ve never been for a ride on this railway, add it to your bucket list. The scenery is wonderful and the journey is a delight from start to finish. Board the train in Porthmadog, sit back and enjoy the ride along the Cob and past Boston Lodge
Continue on to Penrhyndeudraeth and contiue onward as it climbs to its destination of Blaenau Ffestiniog.
If you want a longer journey you can board the West Highland Railway in Porthmadog and travel all the way up to Caernarfon, a journey of about 25 miles through Snowdonia.
